6:00 – 7:15pm Yin/Vin Yoga
First 45 minutes will be Yin Yoga, Second 45 minutes will be Flow Yoga
Yin Yoga: Sometimes referred to as yoga for the joints, not the muscles, it directs the stimulation normally created by the asana into areas deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues. Yin Yoga works the connective tissues of the ligaments, fascia, joints and bones. A significant characteristic is the long held, passive nature of the postures. While initially this style of yoga may seem passive and “soft,” it can grow to be quite challenging as you learn to hold the postures for longer and longer duration. A beginner can start out finding a pose and gently moving out of it soon after. A more experienced yogi can hold the poses from five to twenty minutes.
Flow Yoga: Combination of Anyusara yoga, Flow yoga, and Core yoga.
