Dr. Tommy Hughes, DAcChm, LAc

Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine

Tommy Hughes began his journey in the arts of living well at a young age. His first influence was found in the practice of a traditional Chinese martial art system: Shaolin Gongfu 少林⼯夫. The principles of movement, stillness, diet, discipline and bodily awareness were instilled in him at a young age. As he continued his growth and studies Tommy followed his dream of going to one of the oldest natural medicine schools in the United States – National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. Completing a doctoral degree in Classical Chinese medicine and writing his thesis on “Chinese Medicine Is Terrain Medicine,” Tommy has developed a unique approach to supporting health rooted in the ancient wisdom of observing nature and understanding the important relationship we as humans have with the natural world and the cosmological forces. Whether you are on the journey of addressing chronic health conditions or dealing with acute imbalances Tommy would love to help support you in your healing process.
