Tommy Hughes began his journey in the arts of living well at a young age. His first influence was found in the practice of a traditional Chinese martial art system: Shaolin Gongfu 少林⼯夫. The principles of movement, stillness, diet, discipline and bodily awareness were instilled in him at a young age. As he continued his growth and studies Tommy followed his dream of going to one of the oldest natural medicine schools in the United States – National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. Completing a doctoral degree in Classical Chinese medicine and writing his thesis on “Chinese Medicine Is Terrain Medicine,” Tommy has developed a unique approach to supporting health rooted in the ancient wisdom of observing nature and understanding the important relationship we as humans have with the natural world and the cosmological forces.
