WHAT IS A WHOLE FOOD SUPPLEMENT?
Whole food supplements are concentrated nutrients from the likes of organically grown vegetables such as kale, brussel sprouts, beets, and carrots, to name a few, as well as selected glandular extracts. These contain the highest level of vitamins, amino acids, phytonutrients and the myriad of other nutrients found in our foods. In contrast, a fractionated synthetic vitamin is an isolated nutrient. Many companies feel that parts of a vitamin can be synthesized and manufactured in chemically pure isolated forms in high concentration. However, you don’t find isolated vitamins in foods. They are always found as a complex within the foods we eat.
WHY DON’T I GET ENOUGH OF THESE NUTRIENTS FROM THE FOOD I EAT EVERY DAY?
Great question. We should all eat a wide variety of foods that provide some of those nutrients. Unfortunately, because of conventional farming techniques, only limited nutrients are available in the soil for the plants to draw from. Even more concerning, pesticides and herbicides inhibit the ability of the plants to draw certain nutrients from the soil and contribute to the toxins found in our foods. Your best efforts to eat quality foods may still result in key nutrient deficiencies.
HOW DOES USING WHOLE FOOD SUPPLEMENTATION SUPPORT YOUR HEALTH?
Many people encounter nutritional deficits in their daily lives because often the foods consumed and lifestyle choices cause imbalances within the body. When your body is subject to nutritional imbalances or nutritional deficits for extended periods of time, it will lead to health problems. These health problems may result in many symptoms such as fatigue, joint pain, digestive issues, blood sugar imbalances, hormonal problems and the list goes on and on. When you replenish your body with the proper supplementation, derived from whole organic foods, your body can rebuild and regenerate in an amazing way. Your body’s main purpose is to maintain balance and optimal health.
